Stephen Bender, AIA is Architect and Principal at bndr, llc, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at UF Graduate School of Architecture – Citylab Orlando. He has also spent almost a decade providing consultant services as Preconstruction Manager, Project Manager and Design-Build Coordinator for construction companies in Central Florida. Stephen is a LEED Accredited Professional with BD+C specialization.

Stephen attempts to include design education, research and practice as equivalent forces in the firm’s work. This has recently taken the form of shipping container architecture.

Stephen brings together design-minded architecture practice with real world construction experience. Stephen has decades of experience designing and building in Florida. He has performed design phase services as firm owner, lead architectural project manager, designer and owner’s agent. His project resume includes state university system and not-for-profit institutional projects, daycare facilities, commercial and retail buildings, restaurants and food service design. Stephen compliments this expertise in the field of architecture with experience as Preconstruction Manager and Design-Build Coordinator for Florida construction companies.
